Israel Border Police
Border Police Platoon – Netzah Haredi Track

On 9.5.24, for the first time, a Haredi platoon was established in the Border Police (Magav). The platoon was established after lengthy staff work by the Chief Rabbinate for the Police and Magav, the IDF (Support Brigade – “TOMKA” / Logistics Support Brigade), and the Netzah Yehuda Association.
At this stage, the platoon was formed as a company-sized detachment (initially as a “department/platoon”) and will be trained to operate in the Jerusalem Envelope (around Jerusalem) area, under the area’s Northern Battalion. Alongside the regular-duty platoon, a career/permanent-service platoon is being established for Haredi/religious army graduates, by the alumni organization of the Netzah Yehuda Association together with the National Headquarters of the Border Police.
Current platoon commander: Inspector Mor Azulai
